10. DIPLOMA IN RAILWAY ENGINEERING AT INSTITUTION OF PERMANENT WAY ENGINEERS(NEW DELHI)
Eligibility:

Ministry of Railways have extended certain incentives viz. in the case of Railway employees who possess Diploma Certificate in Railway Engineering will be taken into account alongwith any other Technical/Academic qualifications in awarding marks under the heading "Personality, Address, Leadership and Technical/Academic qualifications" for promotion to Selection posts in Group 'C' category.

The fees for Semester I of Diploma Course is Rs.2000+ Rs.280 for Service Tax (Total Rs.2280/-)
For railway men and Rs.2500 + Rs.350 for Service Tax

The Diploma course in Railway Engineering was started in 1997. The course has been very popular and uptil Ist March, 2014,   25690 students have enrolled to the course. Out of these 6269 have successfully completed the course and hold the Diploma in Railway Engineering.
